Lisa Sempsey holds a Bachelor of Science in Music Education and a Master’s of Education in Leadership for Teaching and Learning, as well as completed Kodály and Orff-Schulwerk levels and one level of World Music Drumming. She is a clinician and workshop presenter who has experience teaching K-6th grade general music, children’s choirs, elementary and middle school strings, ukulele clubs, barred percussion ensembles, and as an Art & Music curriculum coordinator. She has a passion for sharing how to design student-centered curricula specific to individual/school/system needs. Currently, Lisa teaches K-6th grade general music, chorus, and strings at Farmdale Elementary School and is the K-12 Music Department Coordinator in Hempfield School District. She is also an adjunct undergraduate and graduate music education professor at Elizabethtown College.

David Thaxton is from Sparks, Nevada where he is currently in his 28th year teaching Elementary music to pre-K through 6th grade, and holds a B.M.E. Degree from the University of Northern Colorado, and an M.M. from Eastern Washington University. As an AOSA certified teacher trainer for Orff Level I, II, and III pedagogy and Level I and II recorder, David teaches Summer Courses in Reno, San Diego, Birmingham, Chicago, and Portland. David has presented workshops and clinics at local, state, and national levels and presents to Orff chapters throughout the country.

Natasha Thurmon teaches K-5 general music, choir, strings, Recorder, and Orff ensemble at Boldt Elementary in the Northside Independent School District in San Antonio, TX. She has a BME in Music Education from Pacific Lutheran University and an MM in Music Education from the University of Texas at San Antonio. She completed her Orff levels and two master classes at Trinity University, where she now teaches Recorder, in addition to San Diego. Natasha is past president of Central Texas Orff, and has served on several subcommittees for AOSA, chairing the Social Media subcommittee, and most currently on the Recorder Teacher Apprenticeship Panel. She has presented at various workshops locally and at state conferences, as well as at the national AOSA conference and for Orff chapter workshops. She serves on the Professional Development committee of her local AFT union and on their Executive Board.
